General Characteristics

Jupiter is the lord of Vishakha Nakshatra. Vishakha means forked or two branches. So there is a clear duality with these people. These folks can go from one extreme to another very easily. So it will become very difficult to judge them. They live with a deep purpose in life. They will be goal-oriented, live with motives, ambitious. Sometimes their aspirations will be beyond what they can achieve. In terms of appearance, they will have a charming personality, very attractive, highly energetic, and passionate. These people are very aggressive and will have great communication abilities. Leadership qualities come very naturally to them. People do not want to play around with them either at home or in the workplace.

The deity of this star is Indra and Agni, again both represent duality. Indra, on one hand, is the king of Devatas who follow Dharma, and on the other hand, he is obsessed with power and authority. In Puranas, we have seen him act like a hero at times and mischievous at other times. Even Agni has two sides, on one hand, it is the life force and on the other hand, it is the most destructive force and can create havoc in life. People of Vishakha Nakshatra will also have the quality of make or break. They can be very helpful individuals to certain people and at the same time can create problems or differences with others. The duality can exist in many spheres in their life. For example, they will be highly materialistic but at the same time try to be very spiritual. Or they may be very strong-headed yet very sensitive. They may do everything with the motive of prosperity.

Vishakha is a very competitive Nakshatra. These people also will be with a competitive spirit. They are ambitious to go to any heights. They always try to upgrade themselves. These people are always respected in society. They do not want to limit themselves in any manner. But their wants can turn into anger very easily. They should try to calm down their emotion and passion.

The symbol of Vishakha Nakshatra is a wheel, which again signifies duality. On one hand, it takes us forward and looks ahead and on the other hand, it can drown us inside. The wheel reminds us that everyone is his/her own judgment and responsible for their own fate or karma. Whatever one gives will come back again. If one sees the positive side of everything, then his life will be beautiful. If they focus more on what they don’t have, life will become empty and miserable. It is like saying the glass is half empty or half full. This is exactly what happens with Vishakha natives. We will find both these characteristics in them.

Apart from the above characteristics, some of the specific characters for different quarters or padas under Vishakha star are as follows.

Vishakha Nakshatra 1st Pada - (20° 00’ to 23° 20’ Libra)

Vishakha 1st Pada is ruled by Mars. These people are intelligent and knowledgeable in any field. But very rude and adamant in behavior. They may go to any extent to achieve their goals. These folks are very unpredictable in nature. Sometimes will be very courageous and at other times very fearful.

Vishakha Nakshatra 3rd Pada - (26° 40’ to 30° 00’ Libra)

Mercury is the sub-ruler of this pada. These people will always be in the pursuit of knowing new things and will be knowledgeable in many fields. The problem with them is they will try to make complex things simple but end up doing simple things very complicated. Usually, they will be very confused by nature.

Vishakha Nakshatra 4th Pada - (00° 00’ to 03° 20’ Scorpio)
