The sound 'Ga' is uttered first, then the first letter of the varna (a), and it ends with the anusvara (um). Thus the form of Beej Mantra (Gam) is formed, which is the highest form of consciousness.
The letter 'ga' is the first form the letter 'Aa' is the middle form, anusvara is the last form, and the dot above is the highest form. Nada (sound) is the meeting point, and the sandhi with bindu is the highest form. This is the knowledge of Lord Ganesha. It is revealed by the sage Ganaka. The meter of the chant is Gayatri. And the deity being worshipped is the great Lord Ganesha.
The mantra to invoke Lord Ganesha is - OM Gam Ganapathaye namah
OM ekadantaaya vidmahe vakratundaaya dheemahi | tanno dantih prachodayaat || 8 ||
This is the Gayatri mantra of Lord Ganesha. Let me meditate on the one who is one-tusked and with a curved trunk. May the Gajanan illuminate my mind.

I meditate on Ganapati who is one-tusked, four-armed, carrying a noose in his hands, with a serpent as his sacred thread, holding a pot of nectar, and mounted on his vehicle, the mouse. He is of red color, with a large belly, elephant ears, and wearing red garments. He is adorned with red sandalwood paste and offered red flowers. He is the compassionate lord of devotees, the creator of the universe, and the imperishable. He appeared at the beginning of creation as the supreme being beyond nature and humanity. Whoever meditates on him constantly becomes the best of yogis among yogis.
