Geeta Kutir Tapovan ashram is a spiritual and social organization with a temple, goshala, sanskrit pathshala, and old age home. Geeta Kutir was established in 1973 by Swami Geetananda Maharaj who is working on social and religious reforms in the country. The ashram is devoted to the social and spiritual welfare of the poor.
Geeta Kutir hosts many religious and spiritual programs in the ashram premise such as Bhagavad Katha, Maha Yajnas, Ram Katha. Hundreds of Sadhus and Sadhvis participate in these programs.

Temple
Adjacent to the ashram, there is a small temple. The temple houses many Gods and Goddesses.Old Age Home
There is an old age home, which is run by Geeta Kutir with a capacity of 70 people with all the facilities.
Sanskrit School
The ashram runs a Sanskrit school, with computer education for 500 students for free of cost.Goshala
Geeta Kutir owns a big goshala, where they own more than 1000 cows, looked after by ashram staff.Bhandara
Every day more than 500 sadhus take part in evening Bhandara (collective dining). At evening times, there will be a sea of saints and sadhus who come to Geeta Kutir every day

How to Reach Geeta Kutir Tapovan
Geeta Kutir Ashram is located in Motichur near Haridwar-Rishikesh road. The ashram is at a distance of 6 km from the railway/bus station. One has to hire a taxi or auto rickshaw from the station. The nearest airport is Jolly Grant airport, which is 35 km away from the temple.
