History of Saptrishi Ashram
It is believed that the seven sages namely; Kashyapa, Vashishta, Atri, Vishwamitra, Jamadagni, Bharadwaja, and Goutama, said to have meditated in this place. Since there was a heavy sound because of the gushing flow in the river, sages created seven separate streams to reduce the noise. These seven streams are later called as Sapt Sarovar.
